More entries than any year before and the standard has been amazing

Thanks to all of you who have entered, the quality of what we have seen has been amazing and made selecting a winner very difficult. And we knew it would be, which is why we let you choose the winner from our three finalists.

And here we have the winner....

Our SPAM® “Sizzle-Off” Champion is

Karon Sewell

for her Cheesy Chilli Cornbread with SPAM® Nuggets recipe

Slowly fry a sliced onion in a little butter and oil until soft and golden brown.
In a bowl whisk
2 eggs,
125ml milk,
150g semolina,
75g wholemeal self raising flour,
a teaspoon of baking powder,
a pinch of salt,
1 tsp chilli powder (add more/less according to your taste)
and white pepper.
Add in the onions, nuggets (dice) of SPAM® (as much as you like!!!), half a small tin of drained sweetcorn and 75g strong grated cheeseand mix well.
Pop into a greased and lined cake tin and bake for 20 minutes at 180 degrees.
Remove from the oven and sprinkle over a little more grated cheese.
Bake for another 5 minutes, leave to rest for a few minutes before serving warm with some thick vegetable soup or a salad.
(We like it with ribs, coleslaw and salad- delicious!)
