From early March this year, we’re taking SPAM® Chopped Pork and Ham on the road! We’ll be visiting all the major stores – Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and J Sainsbury – in areas across the country including the West, West Midlands, North and North-East. This will be your opportunity to let us have your views on the range of delicious SPAM™ flavours. As our thank you to you, there’ll also be opportunities for you to receive money off vouchers and gifts. Don’t miss out!
TV Advertising Campaigns
In 2004, Hormel Foods invested in the first ever SPAM™ TV advert in the UK. The SPAM UP!™ campaign started on the 10th November of that year, and of course was all about how delicious and unique SPAM® Chopped Pork and Ham is.
In October 2006, we re-launched a traditional family favourite, the SPAM® Fritter, only this time with a bit of a twist. SPAM® Fritters with all the hard work taken away! All you fans of SPAM® have to do is pop them in the oven and bake them for 15-20 minutes and then sit down for a delicious, comforting meal, served with salad, vegetables or everyone’s favourite, oven chips and baked beans. You could even have them for breakfast.
We were back on air in November 2006 with our second TV advertising campaign where we featured the New SPAM® Fritters. These scenes were shot in Balham, London.
