Unique piece of contemporary art up for auction on e.bay – all proceeds go to the Prince’s Trust

Our very own SPAM® Woodlouse, the original sculpture created by Newcastle College art and design student, Charles Percy-Raine is up for auction on e.bay for the next week!

Constructed entirely out of empty SPAM® cans, the structure measures approximately 4ft x 1.5ft and was created in 2009

The SPAM® Woodlouse has already achieved high praise from Alan Davey, Chief Executive of the Arts Council who commented: “He (Charles) beautifully manipulated the cans to sculpt the woodlouse and the bold and striking shape featuring intriguing subtleties like the SPAMALOT™ eyes really keeps the viewer interested.” It has also been displayed at Opus Art Gallery, highly regarded as one of the North East’s most contemporary art galleries.

All proceeds of the sale of the SPAM® Woodlouse will go to the Prince’s Trust and, whoever the SPAM® Woodlouse scurries to next, will own a truly unique piece of art which is sure to create a talking point amongst all who are lucky enough to view it.

Payment is immediate and bids are only open to residents within England until Thursday 28th January – so what are you waiting for?  Visit eBay and get bidding now!
