Hi everyone!
Just to let you all know, I’m going to be blogging on here every two weeks to see how all you budding chefs out there are getting on with rustling up your recipes for the 2010 SPAM® Cook of the Year competition. So please get uploading your creations, together with a picture, via the SPAM™ Fan Club – I’m really excited to see the delights you’ve been cooking up, especially the more adventurous recipes!
I hope you’re all having as much fun as I did coming up with original dishes – my favourite has to be my Mild Curried SPAM™ Pilaff with Cashew Nuts, which you can find the recipe to via the SPAM™ Fan Club. Believe me, it’s delicious and it’s gone down a storm with my family, which is great as it can be tough finding something that everyone will eat, as I’m sure you’ll all agree!
I’ll also be using this blog to tell you which entries I like and which I think deserve a chance to take part in the final ‘cook-off’, or ‘SPAM®-off’ if you like, at London’s Good Housekeeping Institute on 12th October, which I’ll be judging. And, as I’m sure you all know by now – the prize is a fantastic two night stay for two including dinner, breakfast and a spa treatment courtesy of Oxford Hotels and Inns – so come on, get a move on and get uploading your recipes!
Speak to you all soon …… SPAM™ UP!
