Hello again all!
I hope that you’re well and enjoying getting stuck into the 2010 SPAM® Cook of the Year competition? The entries are starting to come in thick and fast!
I’m sure that many of you foodies out there are aware that the current series of MasterChef is drawing to a close this week as the contestants battle it out to be crowned as the winner. I have to say though, this year’s Cook of the Year entries easily match the creativity of the MasterChef’s contestants. The latest recipes to be uploaded are brilliant, and I’ll admit I’ve even attempted to recreate a few of them myself!
If you haven’t yet started cooking up a SPAM® storm, then what are you waiting for?!
Don’t forget that the winning recipe will inspire a dish on an exclusive Oxford Hotel and Inns hotel menu and the winner will get a two night stay for two including dinner, breakfast and a spa treatment courtesy of the hotel chain – a prize that certainly equals if not exceeds that of MasterChef!
So not only will you get the glory, but you go on to see your recipe feature on a prestigious hotel’s menu! It really is a prize that money can’t buy. There are also prizes for two runners up so you’re in with even more chance to win.
I’d also like to think I’m a friendlier face than MasterChef’s Gregg Wallace or John Torode, so don’t let the thought of a pressurised final put you off entering – we’ll all be there for the love of the SPAM® brand after all!
There’s only one cook-off in this competition, but you have to be in it to win it. Entering couldn’t be simpler – just upload your creation, together with a picture via the website – www.spam-uk.com.
So get cooking, and I look forward to seeing the rest of your entries soon!
Until next time,
Phil Vickery
