Well SPAM™ Fans, the wait is over! I can now officially reveal which recipes have been selected by you, the public to go onto the grand final of the 2010 SPAM® Cook of the Year competition with yours truly!
It has to be said that the recipes were indeed all deserving and the votes were very close, so thanks to everyone that got involved.
The seven regional finalists and their delicious dishes are:
- Emma Robson will represent Midlands and Anglia with SPAMOUSSEâ„¢ Duchess Nest served with Melba Toast.
- Mark Andrew will represent the North East region with SPAM®Box.
- Key Ash will represent the North West region with SPAM® and Two Cheese Basil Tartlet.
- Shannon Stening will represent the South East region with SPAM® Rosti.
- Christopher Bailey will represent the South West region with SPAM® Galettes.
- Jane Graham will represent Scotland with Spicy, Fruity SPAM® Cous Cous.
- Veronica Cutforth will represent Wales with SPAM® Stuffed Peppers.
The finalists will now battle it out at the final cook-off on 12th October at London’s Good Housekeeping Institute, where they will personally cook up their dish to be tried and tested by myself and my fellow judges. That’s seven SPAMTASTICâ„¢ dishes I get to try, I can’t wait!
